Intimate DIY wedding in Dorset // Adam + Angie
Can I get HECK YEAH? I'm finally getting round to blogging Adam + Angie's intimate DIY filled wedding from last year!
I've known these two for years and used to share a sweet flat with Angie so saw their relationship blossom from it's very beginnings. To see these guys tie the knot was an amazing and heartfelt experience.
Adam + Angie got married in Christchurch, Dorset in what was once a little cricket pavilion on the Christchurch Green. The decoration in the pavilion was kept sweet and simple with some bunting, a few bunches of flowers for the chairs along with a hand made willow arch for the couple to say their vows under. There'd been a lot of DIY involved in the day with handing lanterns, making signs and creating the photo booth, the stationary and table names (Adam's a pretty talented illustrator by the way) and everything suited them down to a tee.
Bridal prep started nice and early and although the rain was descending, spirits were high! We travelled to the ceremony (umbrellas held high) for the important vow bit where many a happy tear was shed. After the ceremony, there was drinks on the veranda of the pavilion (particularly useful when the weather is a bit unpredictable) and the rain stopped just enough for us to go for a little wander down towards Christchurch Quay for a few snaps whilst the guests made their way to West Parley Memorial Hall ready for a feast of afternoon tea.
The rest of the afternoon wound down with speeches, plenty of giant Jenga and pizza to fuel everyone for some dancing!
