David, Georgie + Winnie: DIY Vintage Farm Wedding in Somerset
Right, as some of you may have guessed - I've let my blogging slip a little bit the past 6 months - but fear not! It means that you have some CRACKING weddings to look forward to to warm your hearts and your minds in these blustery, wet, grey days that we call winter!
First up, and long overdue, David, Georgie and Winnie. You might remember the engagement shoot with this sweet family. Their wedding was absolutely everything DIY and held at Westcroft Farm in Brent Knoll, near Bristol, Somerset.
We had an open barn for the reception, a cowshed ceremony and a whole array of hand made pallet signs, bunting and amazing vintage details with the typewriter for the guest book, and vintage till for the self-run bar (the stags took it in shifts).
David was definitely dashing in his blue tweed suit, and Georgie. HOLY MOLY. Georgie is one hot mama!! She wore a tea length dress with lace and bead detail and Rachel Simpson shoes. Beautiful.
It would be a lie to say this wasn't one of my favourite weddings, but I'm aware I've said that about a few of my weddings of 2015. The truth is, I had such an amazing year of weddings and couples, that looking back I really, genuinely loved each one, and the connections and relationships created with these awesome families!
This wedding is a huge success story for showing what can be accomplished with everyone pulling together and helping out. Did we have rain? Yes, but everyone still had the best time and when the sun did show his face, he bought a fantastic rainbow to finish the day before everyone danced well into the night!
Thanks so much for having me you guys, I had a blast!
There's quite a few images in this one - so grab a cuppa, and have a scroll!
